School is starting tomorrow!! Aahhh!! I hope I'm ready!
I feel like my room is definitely ready! :)  I'm super pumped about my brand new writing center for this year! (Inspired by Mrs. Lemons
The above picture isn't the complete finished center, but I got anxious and wanted to post a picture now! :)

This cute "What do Writers Write" pencil is a FREEBIE that can be found HERE! I absolutely love it!

I purchased this Writing Center Starter Kit by A Cupcake For The Teacher yesterday on TPT and I love it!! I bought a trifold poster board at the Dollar Tree to set it all up on and I think it turned out pretty great! I also love that this center kit has blank writing templates so my students can actually write things just like the examples! I'm so excited for my students to see this writing center!

These crates hold my writing center materials.
  • The top left crate has primary writing paper and colored pencils so my students can rainbow write words they see around the room.
  • The bottom left crate has a file folder holder full of file folders. Each folder contains the templates  that go with each writing type that is on the Writing Center poster board. This crate also holds the pen/marker caddy for the center.
  • The top right caddy is going to hold a Writing Folder for each of my students.
  • The bottom right caddy contains dry erase sentence strips and alphabet practice books. These are for the students to use at the beginning of the school year to practice writing the alphabet.

I know I won't be introducing the Writing Center to my students for a while, but I'm hoping they'll be intrigued and excited by it! :)
